I recieved a new webcam the philips SPC1290NC/17 webcam for christmas but can't get it to work on my desktop. I am running windows XP professional with Sp3. I can correctly install the software that came with it but when I plug in the camera to the USB (which is a USB 2.0) it always asks to do a search for the driver but never finds it, not even on the installation disk which was supposed to install the driver when the software was installed. I have tried this on a different computer and the camera works just fine on my friends computer and it found the driver immediatly after plugging it into the USB port on the other computer.

I've tried getting and installing a new driver from their website but that didn't work either.

If anyone has anyway of getting this to work let me know!!
