Iv read through the boards, and wiikey site... is the 1.9s update for wiikey one or is it for wiikey 2? And if it is for wiikey one what does it do? I just got CoD:WaW and my wii wont load it... it is a back up. Does it not work because its a newer game or is it because i need the new wiikey update? Currently i have 1.9g installed. Its not my media, i did brick block it though, think that's the reason for it not working?

Thats really the sort of question that you can just look around for. If you had even glanced at the official wiikey thread you would have found out that the 1.9s update is for the original wiikey. Its also from april if I remember correctly, seems you've been out of the loop for awhile.

Anyway, the 1.9s update did 2 things:

    1) Allow playing dual layer original game disks (smash bros)

    2) Allow you to automatically block updates from game disks.

It did nothing to improve compatibility of backup games, which is still 100%

Anyway, your problem could have several causes. It could be just a bad burn, could be a bad rip, could be a region issue, brickblocking itself sometimes makes games not load, could be that your firmware level is too low to play the game and it requires an update.

You really didnt give enough information. You haven't said what firmware your wii has, what region it is, what region the game is, what error message (if any) was displayed on the screen when you try to play the game, or what media you're using.

Thanks very much for your feed back, ok my system is update to 3.4U and i do infact have the homebrew channel some how, the update never messed it up i dont know how, but it works. It might have just been a bad burn, i try again and i wont brick block it. Its a NTSC game and my Wii is NTSC, so i guess i dont really need to brickblock it. And ty for letting me know about the new update... and yes i have been out the loop, just been pc gaming havnt been on my wii much... ran out of dvds.

The updates never effected the homebrew channel. 3.4 did block some homebrew apps but those can all be fixed by installing IOS16.

Anyway, if your system is up to date and the game and console are the same region then its likely either just a bad burn or brickblocker.
