new writer

    I need a new dvd writer but not sure which one is the best. I'm torn between the Pioneer DVR 110 and Plextor PX-740A.

    The PX-740 is really a Benq 1640. It's a really good drive from what I understand but get the Benq to save a few bucks. If you really wanted a true Plextor get the PX-716.

    Ppower is correct. The 740 is not a Plextor, and I have no idea why they would give it that model number, since the 716A is still their top model for ATAPI connection.
