Does anyone know what drives new Xbox 360 elites come with so I can start getting all the bits i need to flash it. I know you need a sata card + cable, the xbox 'repair' kit to open it and some software to flahs it. Ive done PSP's and iphones so this shouldnt be a problem. I have a PS3 for online and im thinking of getting an xbox in 2 weeks. I know there's Hitachi drives, LG and philips i think but if someone could point me in the rite direction before i get it, means I could get it done as soon as I have the console
PSP's and Iphones aren't even close. You will need to cut traces and do some soldering. I would suggest searching.
You don't need the Opening kit as a small screwdriver will do. You may not even need the Via SATA card, as some onboards are compatible. Take a look at the Jungle Flasher PDF (google it), it will tell you all you need to know.
OK if found out that lite-on is probably the one for me as it is what came up on xbox drive check. Can the latest lite-ons be flashed as I am confused. Some people say that it cannot be flashed. Im willing to buy another drive for it like a sammy ms28 drive for £15 and put that into it. Im gonna need a via card as my mobo has issues with the sata channels at the moment. While searching I came across the Xdrive from team xecuter. Is this a viable way of getting round the ban hammer by only using the flashed drive offline or is that just wishful thinking? If I bought an Xbox today and it came with a 9x Liteon drive then whats the best or easiest/cheapest method of hacking it. Im a little confused with flashing but doing psp's from day 1 and iphones as well IM pretty sure I'll be able to manage it!
Yes they can be flashed, it's the Lite-on 93450. I did 3 already with succes and no trouble. Just search on google. But if you don't have any experian's it is not smart to do it by your self. Regards, Brooy.
i can do psps amd wiis as thats just firmware change by usb or memory cards and pandoras. i have 2 xbox 360s flashed one upstairs one down. neither of them flashed by me as i know its to far for me to go. in laments term its a fook on and if you get it wrong then bye bye ££££
