Are you trying to get the xbox dash or are you trying to put on new emulators or something on it?

Just use chunkhead's tutorial on how to upgrade your HD located here, except just use the one you have. If it is already able to run unsigned code, just use an EvoX custom boot disc with the "Install HD" option. Google for more info.

Sure can, depends on what your doing though. If you are just rebuilding your current HD you will need to unlock your HD before you rebuild it using XboxHDM. Then follow the tutorial.

the origin xbox hdd was corrupted. so i chip the xbox with x3/x3 bios and install a brand new drive.
i think the drive is already unlocked. so all i have to do is proform the hard rebuild?

You can use the AID 4.10 or the Slayers disk to setup everything you need, these disks will prepare your HDD, install dashboards, Emulators, programs. Just read the manuals and it will walk you through it. If your chip is working, you just drop the new HDD in and pop in one of these disks and it should boot.

Like I said, if you xbox can run unsigned code straight from disc and without a partitioned HD inserted then just pop in a boot/installer disc and follow the menu options. For a better understanding follow one of the guides found on the forums. Good luck again.

Boot to dashboard with no disc in. Then insert the game, wait to load and then load up DVD2Xbox (I reccomend. Works like a charm) and select copy game to HD and it will ask you to choose a partition.

    Enjoy and congrats!

    n00bH4X0R,
thanks! i found the setting to inactive the disc.
now i'm having problem loading the game after backing them up to the hard drive.
i clear my cache files, and the game still will not load. i'm using the unleash x load by the slayer auto-loader.

Not so sure about that one but ask around in the Software discussion.
