NEWBIE!...AGAIN...HOW DO I CONVERT MPG AND AVI ONTO A DVD FORMAT

If you could be kind enough to check my other post I'd be grateful. It is realated to this.

I AM CREATING DVD'S AND WANT TO KNOW HOW TO CONVERT AVI AND MPG FILES ONTO A DVD OR EVEN IF ITS WORTH IT. IF SO WHAT PROGRAMS DO I NEED BEING UTTERLY PENNILESS ITD NEED TO BE FREEWARE.

first off, TURN OFF YOUR CAPSLOCK. It is very annoying and against the forum rules. There is no need to shout. We can read lower case just fine.

Second, do a search next time. This is a very simple and basic question, and has been asked hundreds of times. If you took the time to search the website here at aD, you will find that under the "guides" section, there are several guides with step by step instructions on how to convert all types of video formats.

Sorry about the caps lock but there's no need to be rude. I tried a search and didn't find anything helpful. And my knowledge of the subject is basically simple. So I thought maybe someone, like yourself, might be able and kind enough to help me while I was looking. And for that I thank you, but lay off the caffeine, it's still the season of good tidings.

I wasn't being rude, its just a pretty common thing for people to know how annoying caps are, hence that is why nobody uses it. like I said, check out the guides. There are several ones there that will help you, like this one here:

Oh come on folks. Apologies were made before you posted and I got the message right away. Rules ARE rules but i cant remember them all, Ive only been a member for like a few hours. It is a great site and realise a lot of hard work must go into it, and has loads of info as you administrators know. Keep up the good work but read preceding messages. It makes me think there are too many Chiefs. But then again Im just a BigShite and you stood on me. )
