newbie here question about converting videos onto my 30g ipod

i have recently purchased a 30 gig ipod and was wondering if anyone could help me i havea dvd converter that works good for movies but i can't convert videos. i have dl that play on my windows media player is there something simple i can do to convert the videos to mpeg4 format so i can play them on my ipod?

 

When you say video do you mean mpeg2? If you're looking for something to convert mpeg2 to mpeg4 here's a free program called Super:

i'm using the jodix free ipod converter and i get to the step where it looks like it is going to convert but the percent converted hasn't chnaged in a few minutes did i do something wrong

 

Don't know that one. Try the same file in Super and see if it will convert it.
