I am trying to rip songs from my cds and store them on my computer as MP3s. This works fine except when it is one of the new cds that has other programs on it that run when you put it in your computer. I can't figure out how to get to the tracts to convert them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This CD is copy protected.

To avoid the software running press shift when you insert the CD, disable autorun in Windows settings or terminate it using task manager.

To extract audio use Exact Audio Copy (EAC), a setup guide is mentioned here quite often, you'll find it using the search.
    Problem handling:
    - No (not all) audio tracks found
:: Actions -> TOC alterations -> Detect TOC manually
:: Insert CD when EAC's already running or vice versa

Audible problems (e.g. silent gaps) in extracted tracks:
:: lower extraction speed (internally or using NeroDriveSpeed or CDBremse)
:: Try burst mode instead of secure mode.

More details about audio copy protection you'll find using the search in this forum too.
