Newbie needs help?!?

    I am trying to burn a movie I downloaded yesterday.basically the problem is im a moron. now that thats outa the way......
    well according to the properties on the movie,(wich is in two parts)
    the movie is a video clip. How am I suppossed to convert it into the correct file type to burn it to dvdr?

    thanx I appreciate it.I went through the guide, downloaded nessecary programs but alas Avicodec doesnt support the "movieclip" so I cant convert or any thing. any more advice would be appreciated.

    Whitfield-
    Thats the problem....I can't figure it out. My DivX player will play it, but nothing else supports it. and all the information I can get on the file type is "movie clip" When I check the properties on it.Its the movie sincity,and thats all it says.......Im lost

    correction I just uninstalled Avicodec and re-installed it.It still wont support the file,but it says wont support file
    dmd-sincity-cd1.avi. so it is an avi,but why wont any avi programs support it. the clip works,I watched it last night.
