I have a question about DVD DL disk i have 0 experience on what brands to buy i buy all my blank dvd media from supermediastore and i currently use Tayio Yuden i never had a problem with them ever.. I want to start making backups of season DVDS such as Six Feet Under and The Sopranos as an example there is well over 2 hours of video on it so therefore the compression will be horrible i only get about 43% in dvd shrink so i didn't bother to back them up.. I want to use DVD DL disk any advice would be very helpful. The program i am currently using are DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Vob Blanker, Any DVD and Clone DVD.... I am very familiar with all these programs and know how to use them...
If you dont want to use DVD DL disc I would suggest trying to use DVD-RB + CCE to encode the DVD's to DVD5. I used to use Shrink, Nero Recode, CloneDVD etc. etc. to do movies/TV episode DVD's but hated the results. Someone suggested I try DVD Rebuilder + CCE and I have not gone back since. The diffrence is Transcoders (DVD Shrink)drop frames of the DVD to get down to a DVD5 size. Where DVD Rebuilder + CCE encodes it. it breaks down the video and rebuildes it for better bitrate. So if your looking for a way to keep using DVD5 and not worry about buying DL media try DVD-Rebuilder + CCE. Below is a link to a guide on how to use it. i had to reinstall windows i got the programs working that u taught me since i saved the message we had.. but for somre reason i went into options for dvd rebuilder and i hit select all on the audio and subtitles and then selected english and hit safe and safe again then ok, then i did From Hell and it kepts all the audio except the DTS french 2.0, english 5.1 and english 2.0 do you know why but the movie was still superb in quality...
