I've got a DVD, a music instrument instructional thing. There are only a few sections I really want to see, but they are buried inside huge chapters. Is there any way I can sort of extract only these sections that I want, save them as avi or mpg or even wmv, so that i can then edit and combine them in either ROxio or even WindowsMovieMaker?

I got your DVD Decrypter but i did not see any instructions on how to extract only certain scenes from a movie. Is this possible?

    thanks

Use DVD Shrink, click on Re-Author. Then drag the main title over to the left. There's a box that has 2 arrows on top of one another, one pointing left, the other right. That allows you to edit the title by frame or chapter. Just point to a starting and end point. Don't know how you're going to get into mpg or wmv, but I use ImTOO DVD Ripper which does this entire process directly.

You use Im TOO DVD ripper to extract the chapters and turn them into mpg or wmv? or only to extract the chapters?

can anyone recommend a program or utility to turn the extractions into mpg or wmv, if DVD Decrypter will not do this?
