For the first time in a few years I burned a few CD's (using Windows Media) and found the volume to be significantly lower than usual - though I have to admit the sound quality was just as good. Any reason for the low volume? I did try changing the underlying format of the files (Windows Media and MP3 format) - ot made no difference.

I would try using other software. I use nero and it sounds exactly the same.
