    Hello,

I received a viewsat last September and constantly needed to update the keys. I had to have my friend give me the codes a few times a day sometimes. I gave up on it after a few weeks and am now giving it another shot. I'd like to know if there's a dependable page or website that has updated keys. If there's an easier way to keep the keys updated, I'd appreciate some instructions. If this question has been asked, please give me a link to it. I've done a search through the forums and haven't found any threads. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

What kind of viewsat are you using? I believe that you need a bin file and not the keys. Let me know the model and I'll see what I can do to help you.

Thank you very much for your response. I have a VS2000 Platinum. I have the cable that connects the box to the computer but have never used it. I hate to admit it but I have no idea what to do with it. Thank you again for your help.

Sorry I took long but I had to get my tires change. Do you know if your recieves able to use a flash drive? If not you would have to download the loader. After you download the loader to your computer you have to download the newest bin. After you have downloaded all if this just hook up the reciever to your computer using the cable. You might need a usb adaptor for this depending on your computer.

You this website to download the loader and the newest file. You'll have to sign up in able to do it but its free and its worth it.

I don't know if I have the flash drive. Is there something on the box that will tell me? If not, I'll just download the loader anyway. I've signed up but don't know where to navigate to get to the loader. Thank you.

There should be a usb drive in the back of the reciever. This is the link that would get you to the correct page.

    Hopes this helps.

I don't see a USB port. There is only a serial port. This will work w/ the loader as well? (hopefully)

So then you would have to use your wire that came with your reciever. You would still be able to download the bin to your reciever. If your reciever has a flash drive then you don't need the loader but since you dont have the usb slot in the back of the reciever then you need the loader. Download the loader to your computer and then download the bin. Before you transfer the bin to the loader, you will need to unzip it. If you dont have winzip, you will need to download it from winzip.com. After you unzip it, use the loader to transfer it to you reciever. let me know how it works
