HD's are not easy to use and they are only good for bev right now. I would stay away from pansat. Viewsat ultra and viewsonic 4000 are about the easiest to set up. Both can be updated with a thumb drive.
A thumb drive is a usb memory stick. If I were going to buy a viewsat, I would go to their web site and look for dealers, then you would know you are not getting a clone.
did you mean "sonicview"? both viewsat and sonicview are produced by the same company and are very similiar in setup and use. They are also the leaders in terms of support and updates.
