    Hey guys,

    im new to all this and havent come across any introductory topics - so im a but lost,

    im in ireland - and i currently get s*y basic package

    can these boxes be used for adding additional chan**ls or are they to totally replace your sub**ription?

    what box would ye recommend i get?
    also where to buy etc?
    are there any beginner guides to this ye can forward me,

    these are for cable tv only my friend, not s*y satellite.

    thanks for the reply,

    are there different boxes for s*k satelite then?

    seems to be at least one of the members on the board has it working for this purpose:

    or am i wrong and he is getting his s*y movies through a cable network?

    You would need to cancel s*y and sign up with a cable tv supplier like virginmedia for instance ... take the free-to-air channels package only, no extra's like movies etc ... buy a box, plug it in, scan for channels, job done!


    dave e__p is getting his movies etc through cable tv, not satellite.
