I was reading ur sig and i have a V7 PS2 with DMS4 Pro flashed with ToxicBIOS. And another V7 with swapmagic 3.6+. And I used like 70 of my RiData +R's for my PS2 and DVD's and they all work and no coasters and good loading and graphics look better than originals,(load faster probably cause my modded PS2 has a new laser, the best one), and they dont freeze, but I think I should switch to Taiyo Yuden anyway.
I gotta say the price seems a little high for Taiyo Yuden. 24 dollars plus 4 dollars shipping? Esspecially since I can get 50 for about 16 bucks at Best Buy.
They sell Taiyo Yudens at Best Buy??? How'd u get them for $16 and is that the price? Are they genuine?
@marik1234 Right now it is 2 25 packs for $16(7.99 a pack). I had 3 of the 8x Sony DVD+R made in Japan's in my hand this morning. Those are genuine Ty media. Seems the Fuji made in Japan are either completely gone or very rare nowadays. That is what I went for this morning but all they had were the 16x made in Taiwan. Once I saw the check-out line I realized I had enough Sony's until after Christmas. When those Sony 50 packs go on sale again I'm gonna seriously stock up this time. Seems like Ty in the Brick and Mortar stores may be harder to find in the near future. Especially with Fuji going the route of cheaper media.(CMC)
I agree, wait for the Sony DVD+R 8x to go on Sale at Best Buy or Circuit City. Yep, they ARE Genuine Taiyo Yudens and they are Sweet! I can't see paying almost 30 bucks for 50 TYs, when you can get 100 for that price when they run their Sale at Best Buy. Just look for the Made in Japan 50 packs of Sony DVD+R or even DVD-R 8x. They regularly run those for $14.99 for a 50 pack spindle at Best Buy.
