Hi, My old xbox drive (Thomson) was dying, so I purchased a Samsung drive as a replacement. I installed it and the xbox recognizes everything except game discs. The discs are not backups, they are original copies. Do I have to mod the xbox in order to get the drive to work on games? Thanks
WELL YEA an unmodded xbox wont read any new hardware so just mod it with unleash x and if that dosent work then get some double sided sticky tape and put it on the rubber part of the drive that spins the disk
That is complete bullshit!!! The Xbox will quite happily plug and play any other Xbox component, including the HDD and motherboard (as long as you have the eeprom). The drive you bought is probably damaged! Read my tutorials on the different drives and how to repair them!
