I am trying to help a friend, she bought her son this Nextar PMP and i can not get dvds to play on it. I have the manuel and it says that it accepts .dat .mpg(mpeg 1) VOB(MPEG 2) and .avi(MPEG 4) formats. I have any dvd, clone dvd mobile, shrink, nero and decrypter, but have not had any success in getting a dvd into the right format. I also have Jodix ipod converter, which i use for my ipod, and i thought those were mpeg-4 video files, but they will not show up in this player. I do know that I connect it to my computer, go to the players HD and drag it files to the movie folder, but when I do that it shows up as no files listed. I did run one movie through clone dvd and changed the output method to VOB pasthrough, got 4 files, vob.1, vob.2 etc and they will drag and play, it is just not the whole movie on one file. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.
