Has anyone ever heard of/used this brand of DVD-R before? I see this all over ebay for dirt cheap, but I'm very wary of bad media. Maybe there's the small chance that someone has tried it before?
We've gone over this buying media off of ebay thing several times in the past in multiple threads ... The general concensus seems to be (and rightfully so) Don't buy DVD media off of ebay ~ no matter how tempting the price may be ~ JUST DON'T DO IT ! Now that we've gotten that vent out of me, If you haven't heard of a certain type of media ... it's probably crapola ... Stick with the major brand stuff .. you will be much better off in the long run
about nexxtech they sell them at circurt city got 2 25 pack reg price 19.99 sale 7.49 but i tried to burn star wars 3 and had problems so i used fuji and no problems not a bad movie either
now down to the details: Nexxtech DVD-R 4.7GB CMC MAG. AE1 8x (c'mon now, do i NEED to go into CMC MAG manufactured discs again???) Nexxtech DVD+R 4.7GB CMC MAG.E01 8x (same crap, only in the dvd+r flavor) as everyone else stated above, buying media from Ebay is a definite "no-no", not a good idea unless you WANT to throw money away on what will USUALLY end up being poor quality media~ don't always believe the "hype" set forth by some of these media sellers on ebay, many times, THEY know what they are selling you (usually cheap/poor quality media THEY bought to resell to turn a profit), but THEY don't want you to actually KNOW~ docTY~
I've never touched this crap before period. No offense, but haven't anybody told you that high quality media are Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim and Maxell (Made In Japan)? Yeah... really Taiyo Yuden ROCK..!!
hi now guys dont get upset when i say nexxtech has never been a problem with my dvd burner in computer or in my liteon burner for tv they are cheep yes.but to me they work just as well as Verbatim which when on sale they r cheep too.for 50 nexxtech dvd-r i got for 12.94 also bought the cd r bought them too for only 5.99 so for under 20$ got decent quality,but i also know that you guys are more knowledgeable then me just my 2 cents. don't kill the newbie he knows nothing

Go ahead and buy that NexxTech media ... you have the right to buy and burn any media you wish to ... However, when the stuff degenerates, pixelates and downright quits working over the next 18 months .. the esteemed members and I, here at AfterDawn really won't be very sympathetic ...
