I downloaded the 5.0.8 nimo codec pack and allowed me to watch some videos that I was previously unable to. Bad thing is that I tried to listen to some music through sonic stage and the sound was horrible, blocky, and muffled. I removed the codec pack and now have no problem. Anyone else have this issue or was it just my computer?
I've also downloaded the nimo codec pack. and it fixed a video file which previously had problems with audio. However, my other files which played perfectly fine before I got the codec pack suddenly encountered some problems with video. But I dunno if the codec pack caused this but since you have the same problem, maybe it did cause playback errors.
Word of advise!! Never trust codec packs. Download GSpot v2.00 (no its not a porno) and it will tell you what codecs you need to watch a movie. Then use kazaa to download them. GSpot - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm
Only codecs Joe Average normally requires are FFDShow and doom9's audiofilters. FFDShow can be found from here and it beats all DivX codecs hands down -- takes 20-40% less CPU power to play DivX clips than "real" DivX codec: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm
