    Hello folks,

kindly excuse my silly question but i have searched this section and read of secondary card adaptors that use SD cards ( for example microSD. )

My question is; does there exist an adaptor that i can just slot the Nintendo cartridge into directly and connect it to my PC?

if yes , whats it called and where can i get it, i have searched through ebay too without luck.

The reason i need such an adaptor is that while on a trip to Singapore we apparently bought a game cartridge that i think is just a writable one with 12 Roms on it. Eevn though i found out after we came home that we were ripped off, the games were ok for my 6 yr old son but now it says "free disk is not enough" after he has saved some games and it go further than the loading screen. so i need to get into the card and delete some saved games.

    thank you.

what is the name of your cartridge?

if its a G6DS, DS firecard, etc.. ie in-built memory, then it needs a dedicated reader that comes with the cartridge.

if its a cartridge that uses a removable memory card, ie micro sd card, then any micro sd to usb reader will work.

    There is nothing standard.

You will probably not find it stand-alone.

You might try the adapter that goes with the G6 Real and other flashcarts from that family, but you still may need special software to access the interface and/or write to them.

Sounds like someone is buying cheap flash carts, loading a bunch of games on them, putting new stickers on and reselling them without the adapter.

Its possible that with something like the G6's adapter you might be able to delete a game and make room on it, but its equally possible that the adapters are specific to the cartridge.

AFAIK, you can't buy the adapter separately.

I imagine they will fit, whether they will work is another matter.

But if the situation you are in is the one Penguin speculates about (and it sure sounds like that to me too) where somebody with a supply of carts and a reader just loaded up a bunch of carts identically and sold them off, then the reader may very well be just exactly what you want. I think it is going to be a bit of a crap shoot as to whether you get lucky and get a working solution. That reader could very well not work at all.

Might be fun to experiment if you can afford the cash hit.

just an update guys, it worked :) got the adaptor today and when i put the card in, the PC reads it like a portable drive. I dragged and dropped one of the less played games from the card to the PC and made some space and it works again.

thanks for the help guys , you solved my problem :)

    cheers.
