helllooooo i got a bit of a problem. i got an old DS (not a ds lite). anyway the battery is running out i can only play it for about 3 hours max. this is really annoying and i dont wanna go out and by a ds lite. so i was wondering if you could find another battery that works thats not a ds battery. has anyone tried this? if so does it work? that probably doesnt make much sense. thanks
OK sorry to say but that is...unreasonable. You want to fit a battery that is not suitable for the DS and expect it to work? C'mon. Look you can buy an Original DS replacement battery for $15- http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wc...goryId=58694&ddkey=http:SetCurrencyPreference
There is a replacement battery that is cheaper. The gameboy advance sp battery works with the ds and works well and you can get them from radio shack for only 9.99
US$3.99 delivered, from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13321 takes about 10+ days shipping time, its from Hong Kong/China.
be carefull about batterys from china some are made with cheaper parts not all and can cause brownouts or worse this is how i lost my first ds i used a cheap chinese battery and the unit fried. but remember some of the batterys there is only one company that sells problem batterys it is called battery works of china if it says this on the battery stay clear away.
