It's like asking whats new with the revolution?
It has more power than gamecube.
It has better graphics than gamecube.
    Prove me wrong??
Yea, it has a remote controller thats wireless, but ps3 changed there controller aswell. And the 360 controller is changed aswell. Both being wireless.
So, what else is new about revolution?
Being able to previos generation games, which the ps3 and xbox360 can aswell.
-Not so much with the 360 ,but the ps3 can play 3000+titles
Obviosly games are going be new
This is the first time that a nintedo consol(not handheld) has internet, and a good use for it. But what games are you going to play online? Like mario? Not many new games. I predict all the old nintendo characters all over again.
-revolution will play dvd's now, but ps2 and xbox already can.
-Revolution has added things that sh ould of been added to the gamecube.
Obviosly not, the 360 controller has signals that can go through walls, same with ps3. Your hand isnt going to do nothing.

i dont know man. super smash brothers online? definitely. and i'm sure that now that nintendo finally has internet, there'll be a lot more games to play online. ssbm never gets old. and online playing? thats enough for me.

i have to agree with you there. the gamecube definitely was the worst of the three. people should have known that before they bought it. i mean, the name says it all. 'gamecube' and what does it do? only games. i'm glad some random relatives bought it for my family for christmas, or else i probably never would have owned one.

but the new controller itself is already something that nobody has ever seen. sensing directions. i see it having some awesome potential.

Lol, i think it would be really funny to hear mario talk constintly. It will sound so funny, in my opinion. "lets a go"
Yea super smash bro online will be awsome, i think its a decent game for nintendo.
I'm getting a revolution anyways because of its low low price.

yeah. that's why I think that it'll sell so well. because it'll be so much easier for people to pay $100-$150 (what i've heard) just to see what it can do rather than something like $500 or more for the ps3.

online ssm will extend gameplay longevity a whole lot. it gets a bit boring beating the crap out of my little brothers over and over.

    try 200-300$
    and 350-450 for ps3=p
    The ps2 currently is 100$.
rev isnt goign to cost as much as a ps2. Lol, The max i think the rev will got is 300$. least would be 200$.
Even the n64 was more than 150$. It was like 200$ or 240 wasnt it?
Revolution will deffenetly not go for 100$ nor 150$. It will obviosly go to about 200$+

nintendo will easily be able to sell at around $150 because the fact they are only making a gaming console, not a multimedia centre unlike sony and MS with their HD and all that. makes perfect sense, let the console do wot it does best and let other pieces of hardware do its own job.
this way they also get a lot more profit as well, so it works out great for us as the consumer and the company itself.

    everyone is happy :D

I heard nintendo is still holding out on more info about the rev controller. We've learned that the controller is tilt sensitive. But knowing nintendo, they keep big secrets for last. They told us 1st that the DS had 2 screens while saving the touchscreen factor for later.

So hold your pants up and wait!

I believe soooo. Thing is, nintendo is hitting gold with that idea because lets face it, only a handful of people know about emulation. And emulators have serious issues these days. Ever seen how glitchy the n64 emulator is?

Well guess what, the XBOX360's online gaming service will probably be better, but I doubt the Rev's online gaming service is gonna suck. I mean imagine playing counter-strike or an awsome FPS on teh rev online with the controller.

Ps2 emulated the ps1. It worked fine. I'm sure its just the rom that you run on the emulator, nothing else. if anything, the emulator makes the games look better. It emmulates the game better. Why you think halo2 looks better on the 360?

I know its alittle late to go back to the hacking part of this thread in the beginning..but just to add to it so all the company's look bad just not the DS and Gamecube, Xbox 360 Game disc's where successfully decoded the first day they where out and in terms of handhelds, PSP successfully had a trojan to worry a couple weeks after release.

Nintendo should not even be in the same category as Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo has been known since its Nintendo 64 days as the “Kiddie System.” People who ask me what gaming system should I buy my 5-12 year old? I always say the Nintendo Game cube.

Serious gamers have always bought from Sony and now Microsoft. The only reason I own a Game cube was because of Resident Evil exclusive releases. Nintendo did an exclusive license with Capcom to capture the mature gaming crowd. The Resident Evil games are the only games I own for the Game cube. Everything else on the Cube is “Kiddie Junk” and cross platform releases which look and feel better on the XBox instead.

I can only see a repeat of Nintendo's marketing plans with the Revolution. In the end the Next Gen console wars could be a repeat of the last 4 years. With Microsoft XBox being more appealing in the Americas and UK, and Nintendo being more appealing to Consumers in Asia and the South Pacific. A kind of East meets West "Cold War" if you will for the gaming market. When this scenario takes place look for alliances with Japanese companies. Such as Nintendo going the way of Sega by hanging up the hardware becoming a software developer exclusive under Sony. The irony in that would be staggering.

Some of these posts remind me of being 13 years old at school and arguing about weather the Mega Drive is better than the SNES, only it's worse because the Revolution isn't even out yet.

Thank-you for entertaining me at work when I'm bored.
