I can't find any reviews on this chip does anyone here have one ? Was the install process complicated ? And are the newer game compatible ? Thank in advance I'd like to chip my 360 rather than flashing it

I purchased a nme360 v2 a few weeks back for a benq drive... it is a waste of solder there arelike 6 or 7 wires to install off memory and the thing didnt even work.. i heard that a lot of duds got shipped out, but who knows maybe you will be lucky and get a functional one.
    all the best,
    foenix

exactly why you should just flash the FW, easier, and cheaper, only takes about 5 minutes to flash a benq.

Well a chip is a one time fix with flashing there are always updates and a risk of bad firmware or doing it wrong and ending up with a brick

Well, in case you choose to flash... to be safe use a particular Via chipset card. They're cheap, I scored mine for about $12 AUD from Hong Kong. Worked fine.

The detailed information can be researched easily.

if a chip was a one time fix, then there wouldnt be a ver2 of the NME now would there? as it would only need to be a ver1. and with a chip, theres still a chance of messing it up as soldering the wrong spot, soldering to much and crossing two leads etc. it is almost impossible to mess up a benq. the only way would be a power outage during the flash, and even that probably wouldnt mess it up.

Yeah, in fact there is a bug in the flash app used, how to avoid it is clearly outlined in the info I had. "The idiot's guide to..." I think. But guess what bugalugs here missed it, haha, on two separate occasions no less. But it was easily rectified.
