i am unsure the reason why i lose audio after i convert a file to mpeg. I check it before I convert and i have audio but when i convert using TMPGEnc I end up with no audio after. The strange thing is that I have audio for some after and others do not:( Any ideas????

It depends on the compression of the audio stream in the avi file!! the best thing to do is decompress the audio before you use TMPGEnc, you can do this by getting VirtualDUB.

    1. Open the avi in VirtualDUB
    2. Click Video - Direct Stream Copy
    3. Click Audio - Full Processing Mode
    4. Click Audio Again and click Compression
    5. Select No Compression PCM and click OK
    6. Click File - Save Avi!

The avi you save will be larger than the original avi but this one will work better with TMPGEnc.

    God Luck!
