no audio output device is installed...a really big problem

    ok i so i updated to win 7 and everything worked expect my audio...i downloaded the rite drivers but nothing works....so i downgraded to vista which came with my laptop...so i installed it factory settings and still doesnt work...its says on the bottom right corner..no audio output installed..i use to have sound but now it dont work...so i checked for solutions on youtube..and most of them say go to device manager..but when i do nothing shows..no sound drive is there...i try to install the sound drive from hp.com but when i install it, it says cant find drive...and the thing is sometimes i get sound for about 15 minutes and then shuts off...can some1 plz help mE!!

    ok i did this already i have searched in google plenty of times....BUT NO SOLUTION IS FOUND....ok the sound drive i have is called conexant hd audio 221...i have the folder in my programs cause it comes with my laptop...now my icon is saying no audio output device is insalled...but just last night i had audio for a good hour..and when i restarted it, its givin me the same problem again..now i downloaded the driver from HP.com...and they had it...but when i install it says (driver installation failed: could not find the device for this driver)

    I suspect your chipset/MOBO has failed. This happens all the time. Buy a new card. That is a cheap and the easiest solution. You can also try switching any cards you have into other slots. That shouldn't have anything to do with the problem but sometimes a problem 'moves' after you move cards around.
