Ive read around the forums and my head now hurts so please be nice to me!! I have a divX film, i want to put it on vcd, i have used TMPGEnc but i end up with no audio in the finished file. I tried using Virtual Dub to save audio as a wav and then using the wav for the audio source in TMPGEnc and this does give me audio on the finished file but it is massively out of sync right from the very start. HELP..... Oh and another thing, when i used VDub i tried to save as avi too but despite having 30gb available the file was huge by the time it got to 36% and filled my hard drive therefore bringing that process to a close. I'm not a thicko but I'm sure I'm being a bit thick and probably overlooking something really simple. PLEASE HELP_X_X_X_X_X_[small][/small]
Try this so, follow everything to detail. 1. Open the file in VirtualDUB. 2. Click Video - Direct Stream Copy 3. Click Audio - Full Processing Mode 4. Click Audio and click compression, select No Compression PCM and click ok 5. Click file - save as avi. It will take a few minutes the output file will be nowhere near 30gb!
thanx dela, i tried your suggestion and encoded a few mins and the audio came thru this time and in sync..... Thanx again.
