I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop and am trying to connect it to a Hercules Smart TV USB2 TV Tuner. Image is fine, but I'm unable to get sound. I've connected the audio cable from the TV Tuner into the MIC connection on the laptop as it is the only audio-in source I have. The audio source in the software is also set to MIC. I've browsed the Windows audio settings but I've not been able to find a solution there. I'm now wondering whether the fact that I only have a MIC audio in port will prevent me from connecting a TV Tuner ? Is anyone able to offer some help ?
Have you gone into your Windows Audio Settings and selected the "Mic" port as the Recording Source?? Like in this Picture: Cheers
