i have encountered a problem where i cannot get sound out of my speakers, i am certain that it isn't the speakers problem, as i tried it on my brother's computer and it has worked.

i plugged the cord into the audio "out" and into the power switch, the speakers are turned on, but no sound comes out of them. Could it possibly be sound card problems? or maybe driver problems?
    thanks in advance!

This may sound ridiculous, but here it goes...Have you noticed if the mute option on your audio control icon is checked. The same applies to your media player. Other that that it could be a Sound Card problem or Driver problem. Try to unistall the driver and Re-install it again. Have you installed any new audio application?
