I've been trying to author/burn a dvd for about 3 days, and I've needed SO much help along the way cause it's my first time. I'm almost done and I encountered the final problem: I did it all using this guide: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burning_dvd_with_nero.cfm I'm at the end now, burning the dvd with Nero 7. I followed the instructions exactly. When I popped in the dvd, the picture is great, it all seems to be there but, no audio. Am I supposed to put something in the Audio_TS folder? It doesn't say to in the guide. All I did was drag + drop the following files to the Video_TS folder: VIDEO_TS.BUP VIDEO_TS.IFO VIDEO_TS.VOB VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01_0.IFO VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB VTS_01_3.VOB Please tell me I don't need to encode it all over again. UPDATE: I just opened the MP2 that i used to encode this, in windows media player. It's 1 hour 32 minutes 19 seconds of absolutely nothing. So now what? Is this an issue with TMPGEnc?
No NERO!!!! I have Nero 7, but I don't use it. Well, if you want to copy any dvd to a dvd+-r(w) (D9 to D9 or D9 to D5), then here: What you will need: - DVD Shrink (latest version) - DVD Decrypter (latest version) 1.) Insert any dvd into the DVD drive. 2.) Run DVD Decrypter. 3.) Go to Mode -> ISO -> Read. 4.) Set the "target" as your DVD. 5.) Make sure the destination is under your biggest disk (so it doesn't mess up your computer's preformance). 6.) Click 'Decrypt' (DVD to HD). 7.) Once that is complete, insert a blank dvd and go to Mode -> ISO -> Write. 8.) In the 'source' box, open the movie that you just ripped. 9.) Click 'Write' (HD to DVD). Tip: I suggest writing at the slowest speed (1x for me) so it comes out crisp and clear with no skips.
during the shrinking it could be possible that you unchecked the audio in the compression setting, also what program did you use to shrink the dvd
