no cable in my area

    i bought a starview 4, pluged it and it scans and doesnt find a station, reading thru other reviews i noticed that i have an ordinary aerial, can anyone pls tell me any other thing i could use apart from a cable that runs into the house, cos there is no cable service in my area.

    please give more info as in what country your in,what provider ,what area.

    Am in the UK, and i have the starview 4 box, but i dont have a cable line in my area

    The uk's a big place kolu,but if there is no cable in your area ie digital connection you will not pick up any channels.

    is there any alternative or i would ve to return the box?

    no there is no alternative,just to be sure ring your local provider tomorrow and ask is there digital available in your area,also if you stated where you are in the uk a few of the lads may be able to help.

    i live in sunderland and i used the postcode to check the cable service and there was none in ma area

    without digital it won't work

    the only thing i could get in my area is the BT broadband service, can i use that?

    Of what? as i said as far as i'm aware you need a coaxil feed to recieve digital,i don't live in the uk so your best bet as i previously said is to ring bt and ask them about recieving digital tv.
