No Cd or DVD Burner Has Been Detected On Windos Media Player

    Hi all,

    I used to be able to burn and rip music onto a disc but now it say's in windows media player that no Cd or DVD burner has been detected. Can anyone help.

    First, check a few things. Start by checking whether the CD drive works at all, by inserting an audio CD to see if it plays. Next, try another CD ripping program like RealOne or Nero, both availible on download.com. If this fails to work, go into "my computer" in the start menu, and see if your computer detects a cd drive. If its not there, it probably means that your cd drive has somehow gotten disconnected. If there is a CD player, you probably just have to try a different CD ripper program.
