no-cd torrent for sims 2.....

    i have a laptop that i could play the sims 2 on but i lost the 1st disk and i heard people say that i could get a downloadable thing so i wouldn't need it and i can't get the internet connected to my laptop. Is there a way to get the torrent onto a cd or something to get it onto my laptop? help please. thanks.
