Please help.... I have purchased 'the box' and initially I found channels, but after doing a factory default no channels are found... I have autoscanned by N'l and TW and tried vaious symbol rates but no joy. The seller has aksed me to try several options and these have failed to work... Has anyone got any ideas, I am on N*l, Teesside... I believe it is a genuine box and the seller says that I don't need to download anything.....
First of all make sure your incoming cable is in "Cable Input" then do the following below , also Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please Menu > Factory Setting PIN 0000 OK to delete Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on English > Installation Choose Provider etc Automatic Scan Press OK Channels found Exit Menu 1570 Turn EMU key ON Exit , exit , exit
hi i have had my starview for couple months and now all most all the channels don't work i tried the emu key but only bbc1 2 itv1 2 etc only work.

API is 4.54... I have done a factory reset several times and most recently I spotted a post on this forum using the factory default code of 1668 which seemed to bring more results than when I tried 0000. I have found channels but they are hit and miss, sometimes they work and then they don't.... Anyway, apart from that I just don't get the 'Menu' then 1570 option because this doesn't seem to work for me... I believe this is meant to bring up another menu where I can turn the EMU on but this never comes up.... If I press menu it simply brings up the menu (maybe that's correct) but then doesn't do anything when I key in 1570.
Its becuase the box wasn't loaded with the logo file when 4.54 was put on to it, I have seen this many times. Load v4.51 onto the box and then you will get into the menu, you can then load the software required after this. A lot of suppliers are loading the software onto the box, but without loading the logo file. This means you will only have a FTA box as you wont be able to get into the CAS menu.
