    Bought a sagem dbox2

When it arrived I linked it all up and did a service scan. It took about 10 minutes and I ended up with about 115 channels. Some like MTV Base, vh1 and bravo said channel error and didn't work but most of them like sky sports and sky movies did.

This was fine for about 2 weeks but now it says no channels found please execute a scan. When I go into service scan and try to do this it loads for about 10 seconds and then says transponder scan complete. and there are still no channels?

how do i get my channels back?

is there anyway to default all the settings?

i'm totally stuck. hope you can help

    Best Regards

    Joe

when you scan, is the fast scan on or off - make sure its off
what image are you running - have you tried another image

I had a similair problem with my DBox when I first got it, used to get constant channel not available problems, flashed the Sporster 1.7 image and been going strong for the past 3 months without any problems.

    what image are you running.

when you fire up the dbox it should say what image you are running

e.g Sporster, Team Commando, BoxCracker etc

if its freezing, you may want to change your UCode to 14A and also remove the modem (this means opening up the box and unscrewing the modem card)

the image is what makes the box tick.

when you bootup dbox the first screen that comes up on your TV will show you your image (examples Sportster, Pacino, Commando).

to download a new image you'll need a PC with network card, x over cable and if possible a null modem cable. you'll find links on this forum with guides on how to do.

had a similar problem with my sagem. had to get a splitter and connect up my old cable box, change the image from sportster to commando 6 and also disconnected the board for the dbox's telephone socket. hasn't completely solved the freezing/loss of channels but only happens every so often now and if you change channel or wait a min it will come back on

When I go to image information it says Version 2.0 (Snapshot)

Not sure if thats any good to you?

I really don't understand the whole "image" thing.

Also my box says da vinci?!

the image is the operating system of the DBox, where as Windows XP is the operating system of your computer, Sporster, Commando are the operating systems of the DBox.
