i updated the firmware on my mates eurovox blue to the latest it came as download successful so then i tried to do a scan for the channels but after scanning from 290 - 420 at 6.952 it only scans a few and then switches off with the message PEAA or PERR and goes to standby and back on with onscreen message channel currently not available.the connections are fine because my box is working fine, so can anyone help plz.
further inspection and it seems that this box is a clone the wires on the inside are not a straight thin cable but a bunch of wires wot can i do now.
PEAA is a protection error, and usually indicates a clone flashed with genuine firmware. You need to flash it with the blue 16/04/08 clonesafe firmware in Eamos. BTW your scan range is incorrect that is for N** Dublin.
im trying to flash with the 16/04/08 firmware but what i get is WinRAR ( evaluation copy )and when i open this i get with a bin file which when open brings up a INTPR[]A file when opened brings up a load of info that makes no sense to me. what am i doing wrong
You unwrap it with winrar. But you need to use dnupman, (found in the Eurovox Software folder in Eamos), to load it.
