Hi, there's a problem with my box in that I can't get it off the menu page. I accidently typed in a passsword in the factory settings bit and pressed ok which i believe deleted it and now i cant get out of it and no channels can be viewed. Is there a way to reset the box or get a new password for it?
Its come up with the same message as it did when I first put a password in and thats 'press OK to delete or EXIT' do i press ok?
Yes press OK to delete to Factory Settings and then when deleted, Install again, Accept English choose your provider Automatic Scan, when finished don't forget to turn Key Emu back ON - Menu 1570 into Cas System , then your altered password will have Defaulted back to 0000.
I put in the password 1668 and pressed ok, then went to automatic scan but whilst it was scanning all the channels were failing.
Make sure that you have done a Factory re-set and chosen your correct provider, and also ensure that the live cable feed is in the cable input socket.
How do I do a Factory Re-set? The Parental Control option and the one underneath it seem to be locked and I can't get into them. How do fix this?
That is because you have not installed the box - Go to Menu, choose second from bottom Factory Setting press OK and and enter 1668 and then press OK to confirm, that will Factory Reset for you.
I've done the factory re-set 1668 but then when i went to do the automatic scan all the channels were failing. My box doesn't seem to reset properly, I still can't get into the parental control option or the channel edit option. Is there another way?
Well you could try turning your box off at the back for a minute then back on, then Menu and choose Installation, you will not get into those options until you have rescanned and got your channels (Don't know why do you want to get in there at this stage anyway)?. Is the cable in at the back - if so then make sure that you do have a live feed otherwise it will keep coming up with fail, have you got a subbed box, try the feed in that.
