I have backed up some of my records in mp3 format in a MITSUBISHI 4.7G -R DVD with NERO 7. My DVD writer is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109. After writing it, I have save the folder content in a text file and even tried to play several files before putting it in a CD case. A few days before, when I took it out and wanted to play the files, I found that my Pioneer DVD writer told me that there was no disc inside. I came to the same result after several attempts. Then, I put it a home DVD player. It could detect the presence of the DVD but stating that the DVD couldn't be played. Can someone tells me what is the problem ? Thank you !!!
There could be a few reasons for this. Since you were able to play those files after burning, I would say the problem is with your disc. Maybe it is dirty or damaged. Sometimes data loss can happen with defective blank media. I have never used Mitsubishi DVDR's but I know they are not the best you can get. Has anyone else here tried those discs? Can someone confirm they are poor quality? @ Albert266 Have you tried burning the files again on a different disc? Try it again if you haven't and keep the burn speed at 4x.
Nick600 thank you very much for giving help and advice. I've switched to TDK disc. I still can't find the reason. It has been played once I have it burned. But, now no disc detected. Anyhow, thank you. albert266
If the Mitsubishi discs are made by MCC then they should be good quality discs. Mine are Verbatim and are made by MCC. What version of Nero7 are you using?
