after a reformat, i disscovered i have no sound and cant connect to internet. ive a feeling its a driver problem, but cannot go to manufactuer because the computer was assembled from different bits and pieces. any help would be appreated

You should be able to get mainboard, sound, and network drivers from nVidia.com and realtek.com.tw By the way, the chipset is nforce, the make is not.
after opening up computer case i got correct name of mobo it was made in china and searched on internet for list of drivers loaded on to a flash drive installed on my computer everthing worked eventually thanks for pointing me in the right direction
