I've been trying to help a friend hook up his xbox 360 through his wireless laptop connection to save him the money from buying the wireless network adapter for the xbox. But all the instructions say to go to control panel, then networks, then right click on your wireless internet icon, click on properties, go to the advanced tab and there should be an option to click enable internet sharing on this computer so the xbox can use its wireless connection. the isn't there. There is just the firewall setting and thats it. On my home computer i don;t have that option either but on my dad's it does. we are all running xp. anyone know why it isn't on his computer or how to get around this? Thanks Mike
You shouldn't set up ICS on a computer that has a wireless adapter in most cases because it usually needs a router which is supposed to get the first ip address, because ICS gives your computer the first ip address it usually results in a ip conflict. Instead open a network bridge which takes two or more connections and makes them act as one. For more info go here
