No M2V file, exitsts, aborted----DVD-RB pro 1.01

    Decrypter ripped it to HDD. I am using Rejig, QuEnc,EclPro,HCbatch, and DGDecode. I have used HCGUI, same results. I followed the guide when installing, but it does not match this version of RB.

    BTW, I have had a sort of successfull run, but it had not audio, this was a month or so ago.

    Any ideas, I have no idea.

    Ok, disregard above post. I re-installed everything, and so far I am past that problem.

    Well, I am sure everyone is anxiously awaiting my results, so here they are.....it only took 6 hours, but, I must admit though, the quality is awesome. I guess since I do not have the paid CCE, that is the reason for such a long duration, at least, I hope?????

    Based on the computer specs in your signature, and my own experiences using CCE on Athlon XPs (only up to 2500) I'd say you should be able to get CCE speeds up to around 1.6 - 1.8 for each pass. Not every segment will encode at the same speed, and interlaced sources encode slower than progressive (film) sources.

    Since you didn't mention how many passes you did with CCE (I'm assuming the trial version of CCE SP) I can't say if that sounds like a long time or not. I also recommend trying out the new version of DGDecode (NanDecode) mentioned in this thread:

    What DVD was it? That seems like a long time for 1 Pass conversion with that hardware. If you get a chance you should watch CCE when it's running and look at the speed listed in the encoding progress window. IIRC I got between .95 and 1.3 on my wife's 2500+

    It was "Traffic", and I will run it again, and this time watch the speed of the encoding. I did not notice any speed indications, but perhaps I wasn't paying attention.

    Do you have DVD-RB set to run the encoder minimized? If you don't, you should see a CCE window with the encoding progress indicated and the speed (compared to realtime) it's encoding at.

    I did not have it minimized, but I wasn't paying much attention to it, since it was running on another computer, and I was working on my main one.

    But I will take notice the next time I run it, for sure.

    Well, I ran it again with Nan's DGDecode, and it took 350 minutes, pretty close to the same time. Not sure about the timings you were looking for, but what I saw during the encoding was about 37 seconds per 1000 frames.

    I'm going to add another HDD, which I already have, and place the output on that drive to relieve some of the I/O contention that could be causing some of this long processing, I hope.

    I guess I'm lucky .... it takes me anywhere from 79mins to 109mins or so for the whole process! It varies depending on the length of the movie. I use CCE with my DVD-RB Pro.

    The saga continues, LOL. Added another HDD, and directed the output from RB to it, OH, I then selected CCE MODE (I bought it) instead of HC MODE, and it ran 215 minutes.

    Anyone remember how long it took them to process "Traffic" with RB Pro and CCE?
