well i finished the soldering, but ruined my ps2. while soldering spot X on my V12, the piece came off of the mobo. i tried to put it back on, then i finished the rest of the installation and turned on my ps2, only to see a black screen staring back at me. i tried to fix the X spot and ended up losing the piece. i am pretty sure there is nothing i can do, but if i can do something, i would like to know what.
I think you are pretty much screwed. I would take the ps2 into a shop and see if they can do anything.
