I had a problem with "log file errors." Couldn't figure why. At the same time my Sony DRU-510A burner refused to write anything anymore. Hum. I thought this was too coincidental. I bought & installed a Sony DRU-800A burner. Strange things can happen.... First try with X copy Plat netted a perfect backup. Food for thought. Perhaps a sick DVD burner makes our super sensitive softwares go haywire. Also, I have always used Verbatim media-( -R's). I buy them at Sam's Club for $39.95 per 100. Computer Issue: Can someone direct me to a computer forum for HP computers? I clicked by accident when installing the burner- I want all pictures sent to the DVD burner. I clicked on the CD burner by accident. Now the drop down menu does not include the D drive. The software is Nero- It's confusing to me with pictures. I d-load mostly JPEG pics-(Are they called images in Nero's world?) from the web & put them into a folder. Then, I select from the desktop folder & the drop down menu appears. It asks where I want them to go. The problem is the DVD drive is not on the list because of my error. The HP is not in warranty and I know this is a simple thing to resolve. The problem is I don't know how to fix my mistake. Now it's a major thing. Can someone give me a hand on this one? Thanks all.
I did that already. I took the burner out of the computer after disconnecting the software. I need to know where to go in the HP to click on DVD instead of pictures. I was thinking of system restore, but surprisingly I can't find it in the programs. Does anyone know how to advise me on this? Thanks
as to the Nero logfile side of things, Nero's logfile is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log. Only post last section, it's 'sectioned' via these lines - '====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======' DO NOT post your serial number, it's a line or 2 beneath that header line, usually beginning with '1A21' or similar...
