Did the gilksy reflow repair today on the 60 gig launch and every thing works again. Prob is its saying it cant find the network cable now and it wont find an access point through wireless. Does it have to do with unplugging the little watch battery when disassembling the motherboard? Any ideas how how to fix this? Also some of the themes were corrupted
Unplugging the battery should not have caused you any issues; it is an important part of the process. I would recommend that you backup everything that you can from the system, wipe the drive (connect to a PC and use diskpart), and reinstall the firmware from a USB drive. I recommend this because it sounds like you got some major corruption on the drive when your system YLOD'd...and bad enough hdd problems can cause the network connection to fail.
i got her going. was user error durrr. was just a ribbon just not pressed in quite far enough. thx for the help tho
