If you have a clone, do not try any of the so called new firmware updates.

There hasn't been a new release made yet. Wait until you see it announced on here by someone well trusted and respected. Do not take the advice of some newbie, who has never posted here before. All variations of the 'so-called' new clone firmware have so far been turned out to be just renamed versions of the new release for genuine boxes.
We went through all of this last year.

Yes, some people got away with the new firmware for a few weeks before their clone died, some people only got a few hours, and everyone else, somewhere in between. Just because someone comes on here and says "I've downloaded this and my box works fine" isn't proof that it is the real deal for clones.

Please wait for one of the usual suspects on here to announce that there is a release. Also, there will be no upload of a new firmware release to the eko site, until such an announcement has been made. If you see such a file on the eko site, check here to see if an announcement has been made, if it hasn't, don't download the file. People do their best to ensure that all files on the eko site are what they say are, and so far, I think have succeeded.
