no pic and bad sound sv7???

turned on other day and have no pic and really bad sound checked scart not that and differnt tv any ideas

 

It's usually a scart problem. Try diff scart lead & make sure to use correct output(TV)on box
Plug out box for 1 min & check all co-axial TV cables & connections are sound & tightened. Hit
info button to check signal levels. Have you flashed with latest firmware Carling1.04 http://www.4shared.com/file/SNnmdVhQ/CARLING-104.html?

 

have you pressed the av/tv button

Glad it was just TV/AV button. Didn't think you'd get any sound when box is set to AV. For
future reference if UCR shows on box window, it means box is set to AV-mode.
Carling 1.04 may not solve picture freezing as weak signal or under-subscription of servers
usually causes freezing. Hit INFO button to check signal levels of good picture & hit INFO
again when on freezing channel. Poor connections or not paying basic TV subs can cause weak
signal

Downloading on PC while using box will also cause picture to freeze. You never said what your signal levels were

 

if you are using peer to peer sites they will rob all your band width but freezing on starview is a common issue anyways so check all your connections
