no power ds help son very distressed

    can anybody help my son has a ds original though it came with a japanese charger with a three way adapter for it so it would charge on our sockets after a while it wouldnt charge up any ds so my partner tried to change plug to one of ours he did this and as soon as plugged into ds it lost power and wont come bak on any ideas is it fixable thanks for your time

    I think that you may possibly have burnt out the DS battery...If thats the case I would consider buying a new battery for 10 to 15 pounds, and trying that out.

    If still no luck, (and if it's in warranty) I would suggest contacting Nintendo to see if you can get a free repair.

    Bear in mind that these are just guesses so I would wait a little to see if anyone knows anything more definite

    no battery from other ds wont work either not under warranty any other suggestions

    What did you plug it into? 220v?

    I remember reading a few months ago that there were some foreign chargers that were made badly and would kill the ds although these were in thailand i think or maybe another asian country, if it was a second hand ds then it may just be out of life, or if the charger was very badly made this could kill the ds, if it was second hand then it would be best to buy a new one, i am only assuming so if i am wrong dont bite my head off, let me know if these details are correct.

    THANKS EVERYONE JUST BOUGHT NEW ONE ON EBAY FOR NEAR AS MUCH AS IT WAS GOING 2 COST TO REPAIR THANKS FOR TRYING
