    Ok here's some suggestions:

What brand of discs are you using? Brand name use different manufacturers so you can get a new one with each spindle you buy.
The ones you have now are made by Disc Manufacturer: INFOME - DIAR20 Not one of the better compatible manufacturers.
Try different media like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell. The no seek complete can be caused by media.

    File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS
Roxio and Nero don't always play well together though if you've had Roxio installed for awhile and had no problems using Nero this might not be the case here. You can try uninstalling it and running the zap tool.

Nero can use an update too - probably not causing this problem but ner has you're drive listed as generic - Connected to MMC as unknown drive with class-nr : 1
    Update package 1 - 6.6.1.15

    waht is Roxio?
I don't think I hed this program ever
so should I install fron the link you gave me?

I will update Nero - and I'll try again

And about the discs - I use SIlverline (there are 25 in a box , and I used 10 before - and there were no problems)
but if you say I will bring from a friend sony \Verbatim\Maxell
    and I'll try again.

Roxio is a burning sofware like Nero - it can also be under the name of Sonic, Record Now that come to mind. The Roxio driver is also used by I think WinAmp.

Yep bum one of those from a friend to rule out media.

No - If you have a Roxio product installed the 2 (roxio & nero) don't always play well together.

So try the different media 1st.

Try the good free burning program - ImgBurn.
If you are burning non iso (image) files use the build mode to add them - guide

Ok I see your still using the same discs. PMA error can also be caused by the media you are using.
Have you tried other media yet?

Ok here's a blurb from Nero on the power calibration error - it says cd but applies to dvds also.
You've tried different media and the firmware is up to date so try the other suggestions.
I would also 1st try cleaning the lens of the drive with either blowing some canned air or using a dvd lens cleaner.

I get a 'Power calibration error' or 'Calibration area (almost) full' error message. Why?

Power Calibration is controlled by the recorder.

Before any write operation, all recorders must do a 15 step power test to determine the optimum power for writing to the CD; this is called "Optimum Power Calibration"(OPC). During the write, it continues to do this test to get the best write throughout the whole CD; this is called "Running Optimum Power Calibration" (ROPC).
This whole process is controlled by the recorder, though initiated by programs such as Nero. There is an area on the inner part of the CD for the test and test data info to be stored. You can use this area up to 999 times.

If you receive the "Power calibration error" or "Power calibration area is (amost) full" error message, the cause will be either poor media, poor power, or a defective recorder.

    Please try the following solutions:

    * Update the firmware of your recorder. Please check the manufacturer's website for the latest version.
    * Try another brand of CD-R or CD-RW media.
    * Try different power connectors, and for recorders, do not share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector. If the error occurs with an external recorder, the power source in the chassis could be the cause. As a test, try to take the recorder out of the external chassis and connect it internal.
    * Try different configurations, such as taking the CD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master.
    * Send the recorder in for service.

If +R are working I'd stick with those but it really shouldn't make a diff.
Which brand did you buy? Different brands use different manufacturers so these +R may be more compatible with the drive.

    I would.
ID who actually made these to get a better idea of which media to buy.

Pop a disc in the drive then open Nero and go to ToolKit>CD-DVD Speed.
Click on the disc info tab and the manufacturer will be listed there.

    Not a problem.

You might have a problem with these since the drive can't id them - usually means the media code is not in the drives firmware. Doesn't always mean it will fail so looks like your good for now.
If it does try the media in my post above - they're usually pretty compatible w/ the different drives.
