No Signal Lock

i have a DM500s and i can not get signal lock !! my dish is aligned image files loaded and 91% signal but no lock any ideas on what is wrong ??

 

load a satellites.xml file. its likely the file you have got is incorrect

just for the fun i did a google on dm500 satellites.xml and shockingly top of the google list was the site i needed satellites-xml.eu. load into /etc/tuxbox using flashfxp, dreamboxedit or whatever. make an effort.

agreed, but its not about spoon feeding either. the ability to google is considered a prerequisite.

 

fair enough mate but still cant see how to load this satellite.xml file !! just after help

 

download flashfxp and open. press the lightening tab that is on the top middle of the screen. fill in the username password and ip of your box. user is root password dreambox. ip is like 192.168.1.111. press ok so now your connected to your box. press the etc library icon, then the tuxbox icon. now on the left side off screen go to the location where you have stored your satellites.xml file on your hard disk. right click on it and select transfer. once done reboot box and do a automatic scan again

 

cheers for that mate followed ur instructions not sure if it worked or not ha ha !! had a little play round again and now i have got a lock on 28.2 found channels but no picture !! weird not even on fta channels !!

will have a look around see what i can find but any help would be apperiacted !!

 

should have fta. suspect scart not properly inserted or you are on the wrong tv ext setting

 

ha ha i aint that stupid but thanx !! got it working sort of now i have signal lock on 28.2 nut the channels keep dropping out ?? is this just a case of fine tuning my dish ??

 

what figures are you getting on 'satfinder'. you should have at least 90% signal strengh. does sound like alignment. satfinder can be found in the same menu where you do a transponder scan

 

i am getting 90+ it has signal lock but channels keep going blank i reboot and them come back !! is this a setting i am missing ??

 

should get close to 800 channels. must be alignment issue

 

i get all the sky channels obversely no picture on the subscription channels but the fta channels keep dropping out then reappear after reboot !!

 

try new image. pli i do support
