I use DVD2AVI and it works great except after I convert a file there is no sound. I've messed around with the sound options and such, but cannot figure it out. Everything else works fine I just don't seem to get any sound. I looked around on these boards a bit, but there are so many threads and sections that I just did not see what I was looking for. So sorry if this has been covered in another thread as I am sure it has been.
Go here http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html and download G-spot. Open your AVI file in g-spot this will tell you what codecs are missing, if thats what it is. Its best not to install 'packs' of codecs as they can conflict with each other, and cause sync problems, just install the ones that are needed.
